About Me

I grew up in Watertown in the 1980s. My father moved to Cambridge from Beirut to attend and then teach at MIT. My mother moved from Chicago while he was teaching and our family began. Having a side of my family that has been in the United States for over 150 years as well as a side that has lived the immigrant experience has given me a unique and very positive view on life.

While attending Boston University I joined a Marine Corps reserve unit in Topsham, Maine. I’ve always been an adventurous spirit and those years of drill taught me a lot and created friendships that endure to this day.

In 2002 I volunteered for active duty and was sent to South America where I conducted operations with Latin militaries, it showed me a wonderful part of the world and began an adult love of travel.

 My career has been in commercial real estate, I’ve worked with my father for over 30 years. I did take a break from the industry at one point. When I was in my early 30s I pursued aviation, first as a hobby, then as an instructor, and finally as a pilot at a regional airline. As with other periods of my life, I found fulfillment and a challenge in aviation, I met my fiance during those years and saw much of the United States through work.

For the past eight years I’ve been back in Massachusetts working to build buildings in Cambridge. Firsthand, I understand the value in security, modest but reliable returns, and a long term vision to provide sanctuary.

Our Mission

In nearly five decades, we’ve developed, bought, sold, and renovated over 250,000 square feet of residential and commercial real estate. Currently, we own nearly 120,000 square feet of cash flow positive product in Cambridge, Mass. Our goal is to double that and create the track record to propel growth. 

Our History

My father arrived at age 22 to attend graduate school at MIT. He then was awarded a professorship. In time, he and a childhood

friend swapped their professor caps for hard hats and got busy in the real estate development field starting with a 40 acre residential project in Milton, MA.

My father started his business with the trust of businessmen and councilors in Cambridge.

He built our success brick by brick over 50 years working with the city and our neighbors. It is from him that I have learned what it is to be an investor.  He, with his partners,  invested in the city of Boston. He knows the market and  how to make money while staying secure.

Now, it is my turn. After 35 years at Cambridge.  I can now invest back into the city.

We are delving into the residential market.. as there is such a dearth of good  affordable housing in Boston. It is time to move into residential real estate and open up the floodgates for affordable housing in Boston.

2. Secondly, building new inventory will ensure that the next generation of innovators has a place to live and grow in a dynamic city that sits at the forefront of the knowledge economy. We will be building housing that is sustainable and will foster a strong community.

3. Thirdly, investors are safe with Green Beacon. The returns are at the lower end of the risk spectrum. We have 45 years of experience in the local market, experience with lending partners, experience with political leaders, construction managers, and a dedication to investor success.

4. I will always have significant personal skin in the game; other project sponsors do not.

How is Green Beacon different from my other ventures?
We are pivoting from commercial to residential real estate development, and we are beginning to invite outside investors to share in our returns for the first time since 1987.
